Yes - it would make sense, but as a long time surfer I seem to be hard-wired that once it's on-shore it's all over. I just have no interest in the chop 'n' slop... never did as a grommet, can't see it happening now. Cheers!

got out to lefties one am
only 6 out for 1 3/4 hours, then the hordes arrived
wasn't great, wind did 360 degree shifts twice until settling into a stiff see
but good to get a few and test out the new firewire uniibrow

I too was depressed about the swell situation in Perth over summer and then got back into winsurfing last year - absolutely loving it!

As we all know WA is the place for a good afternoon seabreeze in summer.

Yeah numbers today huge. New Year's Day early was great and alone near perths fav beachie for an hour. Christmas morn was same. I quess everyone was down south

Yes, i concur with the amount of people down the coast.Yesterday i counted 50 at north point, 30 at mc huzza's and another 30 at south point yesterday with the same amount in both car parks.

Surprisingly a little bank to myself in Perth metro. Sat on the shoulder with a mal and consistently paddled into peeling lefts. All was good for the few hours before 8 when the crowds started turning up proportional to the dropping in and aggression most typical of a summer Perth morning.

I know that exact situation Glassy, there are still little waves to be had through the summer with not many around, even if only for an hour or two!

Made the smallest waves ive ridden without mal so much fun.....ankle to knee,waist on the bomb sets....great day on BB with the Family and friends...temp hit 41 then the breeze hit and temp instantly dropped to 30????

Yeah guys, got my share so content. Wave of the day blocked by a beginner sitting in the take off spot was a toughie to swallow. Bring on winter!
Always find that place so hard to get good depending on tide etc Mocha, good to hear you scored!

Did surf beach to the cut this arvo for naff, was a bit of swell and clean as but just no banks anywhere. Not quite enough for the reefs either. Reckon that might be about it for the weekend too
