In land? Then it's a lake or a river...but too clean looking to be the Amazon. They surfed lakes in 'Step Into Liquid' so I'm gonna go with Michigan

Having said that...never seen such a nice freshwater wave before.

This thing was chockas full of tuna(still frozen) and noahs f'kn everywhere. Literally beaching themselves on the reef at Cathy's. My brother was deckying for the pirate that claimed salvage rights, Bob (whose surname escapes me), was trying to get John and his diving mates to jump in and swim big fark off tuna ice cubes back to his crayboat to send to Japan for megabucks.
He made a fair wad off that boat if I recall correctly.

Yeh, must be about 20 years ago.
I remember for a few years you would pull out of the left and end up almost touching the ship.
One winter we had some big storms that broke the thing up and deposited about 5 meters of the hull right inside the little cove, with the nose pointing up.
After the next winter the whole thing was gone.
Probably wouldn't surf there now, too many Noahs and Seals (there never used to be any seals there).

The ship was the Kiryo Maru 1 . Wrecked August 1984.
