Doggie makes some good points - if you can find what you want in a stock board it's happy days....mine was a custom because i wanted a bit more volume than the stock board in that size. I wanted the silver bullet for a specific set of circumstances and wanted to keep the length as short as practical. You could argue that it's no longer a silver bullet - but the reality is that it's the same design but it's just been beefed up a little to compensate for my needs. The nose area has a little more volume but it still has the same plan shape, bottom contours, rail shape, fin configurations etc just has Stoked with it.

Ted just searched everywhere and cant find the dimensions for your board.
I really want one of these now but cant get hold of the Murry to ask the questions i need.

The Fat Bullet for me. Although i do like the Silver bullet but my biggest issue is paddle fitness(laziness)

I have found a brand new 7' board in WA (Country WA) but i feel that is going to be a bit big for me. I like smaller and i really hope a 6'8" would be ideal

I'm 5'10"ish and about 100 kilos. 105 on a bad week Fighting weight of around 97 ish..

I will say i hate waiting for things once i make up my mind.

Thanks SP as well for that. She is a brute of a board at 6'6" * 22 * 2 7/8 but it does not seem that big to be honest. I used to have a 6'10" as my big board but never got to surf it to its potential anymore as I do not head out on the really massive days anymore - I just wanted something that had a bit more beef for the days that are bigger than my normal short board likes - I often surf a couple of reefs that are a decent paddle off the beach so I wanted more paddle power. I come in at the 90-95 region depending how many beers I have had. Floats me a piece of cake.

@jb, stoked for you mate. im using pc5 and gx1000 rears. goes unreal. have been lent a set off k2.1 to use and that will be happening this week. dont forget to keep us updated with whats going on. if you like and if you can find out off muzza, i can go down and take some pics while its being shaped for you if you like

That would be great. I just need to work out what i want on there. He actually has a stock board but its just all white and i think i want some colour. Just not sure what. I think blue (light sky) somehow just need to put on my thinking cap

Nothing too out there like Teds but similar to yours with a colour. ANy ideas Chrispy

Yeah i have seen them. Maybe a big full size GW shark on the bottom. That would go down well paddling out

To be honest i have been playing boards now since i started back into surfing. I love my Super fish but it some circumstances if find it a bit too flat and bit light for paddling. Its only 6'6" and the guy in the shop suggested a 6'8" but i was still younger and lighter (in my mind).

With a bit of research i have opted for a bigger board for more paddle, but i don't like switching boards and second guessing so i'm hoping this will be a bit of a all rounder. Give me more confidence paddling in winter for sure and hopefully light and nibble enough to chuck around. I did like my old 7' Yahoo Dhufish but found it too slow so lets hope this one is a good start at least Will post up some more picks when i get it next week. Maybe with out the BBQ though

Still to get her out but today was waxing and fitting fins better and i have a question.

The fins are an "Upgraded" version apparently but they don't bottom out completely in the FCS plug. So the fin sits up of the board slightly. Should i just knock a small bit of the tab or leave it alone theirs maybe a mm of clearance under the fins and deck.

If the gap is at the front of the fin try and get it out it will catch weed. Make sure it's your tabs that are to long and not the fin between the tabs which is touching first due to the tail rocker. Just use a file steady steady and all will be good.

Good pick up. just checked and it is the center between plugs. Should i still work it down a little or leave that alone. Other than weed i cant see it effecting anything too much, or am i wrong

You can take a bit off the bottom of the tab, Ive had to do it a few times. Nothing drastic. Most FCS Ive found dont fit perfect, Ive never heard of them picking up weed!!

Looking at the surf this morning im so uninspired i might just leave it
