That lightning bolt 6'6" of mine is probably perfect for you then. All my 6'6" boards were meant for 4-6'. Give Yahoo surfboards or Al Bean a call. AB does really good channels too. Mark Ogram at Yahoo is a master craftsman too and the Yahoo website doesn't do him justice. I have had 8 boards off him and only one of them is a board on the website. The rest have all been very different customs. My best 6'6" ever was a Yahoo and could handle 6' Tombstones. It was 18 3/4 x 2 5/8 and the single into double round tail thing from above.

is that it? i wanted a story....whats the 2'drop on the noserider going to do? more performance? make your noserides longer?

i think you should get a bob sled imo. you love being on the back foot. bob will make you a ripper,i would put money on that. time to stop dropping a inch and get on a smaller board mate

+1 wider range of quiver, rather than a wider range of similarity...would have been a nice drive though, beautiful country down along that highway

+2 A wide range of different boards in awesome. Different boards. Diversity is good. Four inches on a monster board? Lol. But then again, if it is putting a smile on your dial, why not?

I really like the looks of the Carvers. A 7 footer and 8 footer would have most bases covered over here.

mac is a heavy footed mother of a beast.

ive watched a lot of him .

suits his long board liking .

but if we are talking some other boards

i believe he needs some dance classes to lighten up his feet.

lets all start a slush fund.

we'll call it -' lets get mac dancing off and on the water for another type of board fund'

or 'dancing with mangos'

please discuss the gene of dance you believe would give the big man twinkle toes

Yes. But we feel like you are looking for diversity that just isnt there in the longboard scope.

I can feel a intervention coming up.

Nice one.

Wish i could afford some of your second hand boards.

Going to try my hand in making my own next board. Going to be a timber 7.6 egg.

I have been gifted some western red. So once i finish my painting, shed, pergola and landscaping ill be all over it.

im with you lacey,my beesting is the first board loaded no matter what. yep I know its a 7'board but its the most fun and versatile board I own. I have surfed it from knee high slop to big beachies and it loves it all like ypu depending on size is what other board rides with her.

looking forward to hearing how your smaller sled goes when you get it

Nice post LL. I used to move boards on more regularly but in the last 5 years I have found a few real keepers that have I have kept to they died - sweet potato and a CI Pod. That Pod was awesome and often thought about replacing it. Now this Nano I have seems to go well in anything from waist to double overhead. But I find that now I am surfing good quality waves most days that it's time to think about a more high performance step up board. Last attempt at one of these failed miserably so it's left me in a delimia. I don't need boards that generate speed anymore - I need boards that can handle speed. Been looking at what the good guys have been riding but they are 20 kg lighter so not the best thing to compare with. Decisions decisions decisions !

Get another outerisland those things are the nuts

Or a vader

Or a Jimmy Banks

Or a Wayne Lynch

Or a Gerry Lopez
