we always new summercloud as aussie pipe. i know nothing about mini pipe though. my pic wave for pits was either cowries and redsands. had a mate tell me that reds is now destroyed due to cripples in the line up

Yes Tankchamp and I only took shots of 3 spots. There are plenty more around here. If you ever come down let me know and I'll show you around. Localism isn't overly extreme here either.

Thanks TB. No sweeping from me - I was taking the pics! I surfed a nice grunty reef earlier on the 6'4" with a few nice hold downs. Fun but the Easter crowd is upon me....there was no one out when me and a mate paddled out - 30 mins later 8 more had paddled out - we would normally surf that spot with only one or two others on a weekend.

Napier to Gizzie used to be 3hrs tops - are your guys going backwards over there? 6.5 is a long trip - must have been a few slips on the Wairoa road I imagine. Those hills have never enjoyed large amounts of rainfall.
