There have been a few deposits from names I don't recognise but I think they are some of OBCT mates.

Could be, I tell a lot of people about it and tell them that if they see me with it they should have a ride because I doubt I'll be even able to get a wave let alone do it any justice.

And the people I've spoken to lately have all been good surfers, there's been:

Pete: he rides a nice Soul Surfer classic noserider with a solid dark maroon tint. Pete's a really laid back guy, I reckon if he was anymore laid back, he'd be in a coma.

Stuy scissor hands: Another Soul Surfer rider, only Stuy has the HP noseridder.

Andrew: He runs a surf shop at Manly, he's a dedicated short boarder so I doubt it would have been him. Pitty, the dude rips.

Some Dood1 : just a guy in Andrews shop last Friday who seemed really interested

Some Dood2 : a tall skinny young guy with long curly hair that I shared the lineup with for the last couple of days. This is a guy I would really love to see on the board, he was a real stylist. Rode a classic noserider with a solid royal blue tint.

He had all the moves, fast upright nose toe tickles, quick'n'dirty cheat'n'fives, backward paddle takeoffs, fin first takeoffs, outrageously casual cutbacks.

If it is any of them, I hope they make themselves known to someone.

It's funny, so many people are happy to ride the board, but they're not real keen on the filming bit when it comes to people seeing them, and especially when it comes to speaking on camera.

I just say to them, "point the camera to the front if you think you're that fugly" If the footage is good, we can at least put your name or you nic on it.

^^^^^^^no probs here OB with being filmed as I am one of the best looking guys around. I knocked an offer from CK to catwalk their undies in Milan in early 90's. Some Mark guy picked up the contract and by all accounts has been doing quite well.

Have you seen many Soul Surf boards OB? Young bloke up here was riding one I had a look at, looked like a nice well made board.

around his local patch, like Manly to Palmy they're quite popular, particularly in that curly to collaroy bit.

I'd have to say that they would be about the 3rd most populous single make behind MacTs and O'Donnell in that stretch, but then most of the MacTs you see are probably Asian popouts rather than Byron boards. So I guess that would make them number 2 on the locally shaped LB scene.

I've changed my mind, I reckon he would be neck and neck with Bennett around here. But I still think O'Donnell would have more.
