Campbell Bros Bonzer?....any one tried one. Had a look at afew today.
The EGG in about 7'4 is where i'm At.
what u think?

I have a 7'6" that i purchased from Duncan in Hawaii last year....

i have found it needs some drive in the wave to really get going, not a small mush board for me unfortunately, just does not have the foam in it, even though it has the length

Ok...I was looking to use it when the swell got up abit but still wanted a good paddler. Could u post a pic?
ill ride one first to get the size kinda sorted.

I find that the wave doesn't need any drive/power,it just needs a nice shape for them to work, much like a single

I have surfed my 5'10 in waist high and it was so good,it was siiiiick dude

But mush is definitely not its friend

Personally i reckon the egg is to wide in the nose, the speed egg is the go for when it gets a bit bigger.

And get the Ewing...

Yep SP is on the money ,my Bonzer 3, 6'10 speed egg has e wing and its such a good all rounder, if I had to have one board it would be this one, covers such a wide range of conditions.

Yeah good chat fellas....I've pretty much cleared 5 or 6 boards out of the quiver lately... so plenty of room for a new mid.
it needs to be alongside the 7-6 CBucket.
The bonzers look fun and I will have a ride to see what they are all about.
kinda want around 7-10 to 8 ft.
howard special on the list too.

I've got a bonzer egg - but it is a shorter and really foiled out, so it doesn't fit the middy equation. I also have a Russ Short - i reckon it is a better board and can be surfed in many different conditions. Wide point forward, lots of good foam, pulled in diamond tail and the 3 fin -which in my opinion, is the best version of the bonzer.

Beautiful board dude... And yeah, the 3 fins makes more sense to me too, 5 just seems too many and always reminds me of the Gillette 3000 (from The Late Show)

Super nice dilemma to be in...

My 8'2" is being packed and shipped next week so that fills that gap for me but I think other wise i'd be looking at the 8'0" Tak or the MOT Fiji 8'0" If my self shape is a dud... and it will be... I see myself ordering one of these in the 7'2" realm to round things out... and doors still open for a V-Bowls in the 8' region if i can find one 2nd hand

Be careful of this man people, he is very dangerous, he dragged me down the bonzer rabbit hole and I have been gleefully stuck for years. Beautiful specimen ...... I am referring to the Russ Short

You did the same thing to me with the gato's ! Great thread - many pretty boards. When i'm surfing again , i'm putting an order in for one of those aussie liddle hulls. Either the death machine or the MP3.

I know Salty is in LOVE with his DM... and it's still definitely on my radar although my access to ideal waves for the hull are a bit limited...

My bonzer is a few inches shorter, half inch thicker and 3/4 of an inch wider. If you're going to use it as a step up from the c bucket then I reckon volume up and get the paddle power for bigger days.

I know there's some in here looking and the Vouch bigger fish, here's a mates unprompted feedback after coming back from a surf trip to NZ...

Turns out he met Ryan Lovelace over there too briefly as one of his friends knew him from his Australia trip...

Great feedback on the Vouch though...
