Greetings,

Long time lurker, first time poster.
Looking for recommendations on a new pair of thongs being as i live in them when i'm home from work.
As most of you gentlemen are on the mature side of life

better to ask the question here rather than one of those other young bloke forums.
Finding it really hard to get a decent pair of thongs in my size, that being size 13/14 with a wide fat foot

.
Don't care about price, just looking for comfortable.

Reef, the ones with the bottle opener in the soles, wide, soft and comfy.... Mind you, I question the hygiene of opening a bottle of beer with the sole of a thing that could have stepped in all kinds of who knows what!

Just buy Reef Leather thongs. Kind of like this ~~http://shop.reef.com/reef-marbea/d/1030_c_105~~

I now have 4 pairs at home, the old pair for picking up dog poo and working in the Garden, the slightly lesser old pair that I use for the beach etc, the newer pair that are good for all round and then a good pair that I save for special occasions like dinner etc.

Why 4 pairs? Because the old ones never die....... I got married in a pair of these, they are now pair 3, for the beach etc, a friends dog chewed them a bit and got them into 3rd place ..... Hahah.

I'm finding that I'm getting exceptionally good milage and comfort from the piping hot thongs I get from Target.

Plus, the tread stays good for a long time so I don't run the risk of going arse over tit at pedestrian crossings on wet days.

Bigspazz, you've got 10 kegs and 4" on me. Thank fark we have height. And if it's true what they say about big feet I guess you've got me covered there as well.

You know what, my wife called the Reef Rep to get some thongs for me on the cheap. She said I wanted Leather, he said nah, noone wears leather anymore so we dont bring them in.

I bought a new pair in France and ordered 2 of the other pairs from the USA.

Apparently only old guys wear leather thongs. I been wearing 'em since they were cool in the 90's.

Got a pair on these but they make a noise when you walking on concrete on the second day I stepped on gum and it got all stuck on the opener part.

Been hanging around long enough to see what happens round here. That's why i keep coming back

(By the way i'm 6'3 and 125kg).
Mind you the 19 yr old son is 6'5 and gets size 15 shoes so i have put him onto the website Big Spazz recommended. (They breed us big down this way).

Sometimes I forget what the title of the thread is cause we go off subject so much.
I've got those thongs with the bottle top openers built into the sole. Great party drink when somebody asked for an opener.

They aren't strictly speaking thongs, but Sanuk do a really comfortable shoe that is more like a soft comfy eva type sandle sole with a canvas upper.

Very comfy.....and light but do require at least one hand to put on as opposed to thongs which are a shuffle or two away from being on your feet.....

+1 These thongs ( Mick Fanning model) are the bomb.
Brought my first set this year in HI after getting a blow out on my trusty old double pluggers

Walked around for weeks in these baby's and didn't even have to break em in.
