Nice shots mac..

Those tints are great..

+ 1 thanks for posting those Mac. I have been playing around with the colour scheme for my new machine and will post some pics shortly. I have spent about 20 hrs trolling through tints and how to tint videos for inspiration. I have decided that I am going to attempt a tint first time up in the glassing room. Nervous but at least some colour will hide the imperfections in my shaping

Worked out why both my attempts to reproduce Kadi's ufo failed you see McT have a new shaping machine since my makaha spray was made.

No mate its ok but not the same, the problem I had with the last one was it was way too lose for my liking weird but true, the new one is lose as well,I like to use my body weight to whack the thing and asea's board was a slight movement and it wanted to go,as I switch boards I didn't want a massive adjustment between boards,it will take me a few weeks to get used to the new one but I liked the feel of it on the weekend.

mmmmm well maybe grab the old UFO from Kadi for a day & take it to Bob for a photo/swab sample for the new machine , that will work thats if it just doesn't pan out that is

Good idea but I've got faith in the new shapes, massive rail difference and where I came unstuck with the last one asea's is I asked for refined rails like the one I sold kadi not knowing this new machine was programmed already.

The new machine is making a great shape I just need more time on it,it turns on a top.
They also sit different in to water both paddling and sitting just a more shortboard feel which is what the ufo is all about.

Interesting read that Prez! I'm sniffing around that Pin in the specials rack my guess now is that it may not be new machine shape and Bob did some of the pins himself too

Fangtail

Bet the glasser loved it when he walked in with that idea.....

Michael Peterson Fangtail
Item # 000353

Limited Edition Signature Series

Michael created this shape and took it to the Pa Bendall Memorial Contest on Queensland's Sunshine Coast which he won!

That was 1974, and MP only shaped five of these "fangtail" single fins in total, but here's your chance to capture a piece of that surfing history with this beautiful replica!

Handcrafted the same way as they were in 1974, then approved and hand signed by Michael prior to the final finishing process. Proudly handmade in Australia!

Price
$1,600.00 SOLD May 2009
