Why do you want a single fin ? For what purpose ?
*cough's on breaky*Mate! A single fin is way better than thrusters, twinnies, etc. I am sorry but Simon Anderson got it wrong. The only "advantage" of boards, especially short boards with tri fins is that they turn quicker/easier. Other than that, tri fins slow down the board by generating "swirling" of water between the fins. They do not thrust in anyway shape or form. That is a fallacy. Twin fins might be slightly better.
A single fin board cuts through the water far more efficiently, and hence gives you a faster ride.
The quick turn aspect of a board really comes down to weight of rider, speed, size of board and amount of contact between board and water.
I wish Mr Anderson never invented it really.
