The story is below...
Northern Beaches photographer, Toby Manson, shot Deadmans in the morning but broke from the photographic pack to get a different angle - from the water. Toby made like a mountain goat at the rock jump then swam like an otter against the raging current, all the while dodging sets. The effort was worthwhile and he nailed a couple of unridden waves plus a bomb ridden by Michael Darcy before being washed toward the Bower, exhausted but very much alive.
Deadmans is fun until it gets to about double overhead. At 1.5 times overhead on the right angle swell it almost feels safe....but its not. The spot just a few metres to the north is a ripper and one of the best waves I have ever surfed on its day. It might be short and it may have a similar name to a spot that Simondo surfs but it rocks!!! These days its overrun with shark biscuits sadly.
^^^^^^i earnt my manhood down on the southcoast nsw. my mate who still surfs there said that to is overrun by the vermin as well.....he also said that they take waves no standup surfer would ever make..they still have ruined the spot. he also said there is no such problems with 666

I enjoy the little clues you give Ted without revealing those surf spots - keeps the mind ticking.
^^^funny,as kids we would see all these wild waves breaking and thinking imagine if you could surf it....20years later the kids aint blinking at that ****...****ing nuts

Should we all chip in and buy chrispy a copy of a"Sydney Monopoly" so he can find his way around.........
i would be better off being blindfolded and being walked around on a leash. i could tell you evrywhere we are just by the scent i left when i passed out/spewed in that particular area
