At the same time the Eels have 14 games against top-eight opposition. Stupid headline by by a biased reporter Why does everyone moan so much? How many of the top 8 from 2014 will be in the top 8 in 2015? In most comps you need to play every team twice anyway. And if you want to be the best team going around then you have to beat everyone anyway.

I agree - its an absolute disgrace that you can play a team twice in 6 weeks before playing a team you have not yet played. Clearly its the TV networks running the game at the expense of the integrity of the game - those NRL chiefs need to stand up to them for the good of the game. Yes a TV deal has been done - but why did they let it happen that way? Surely the integrity of the game should be more important than anything else. Its good enough in the all the football leagues in the rest of the world.

Wavelength I am not complaining about the game itself or what hand has been dealt to the teams - bored of that stuff. In that second post I am more just outlining the bigger picture issues. As far as what game is played where and when and against who it bores me - I could get on that band wagon but not worth it. I leave that to those flute playing folks

I love watching the NRL. Just can not see why the TV boys still control it so much - when the game is so strong.

As for Queensland - they lie, they cheat, they steal - but they are still my team by default - first team I supported due to a Kiwi coach at the time. Its hard not being able to change my allegiances but that is just the way it goes

Shall we talk about Rugby ? I could go all night

Craig field, it was manslaughter. The time being served is up there with murder though. 10 years, with 7 to be the minimum. Seems the jury thought the technicalitie was not going to help him

We need him Pup. Hope he fires this year for the gummies. Mick Ennis will hopefully turn out to be a good buy as well. I just want them to win a premiership before I leave this world but I'm not holding my breath.
