49 years old, surfing since 15. Learnt on a single fin and never really fully embraced the thrusters. Usually prefer a 2+1 or quad. Had a mix of short and longboards before being bitten hard by the 666 bug about 6 years ago. Squashed that bug late last year and have been back on the short board for the last couple of months. Current quiver: 6'3 quad 6'10 thruster 3 x 666's A longboard for the quiver can't be too far off.

TED thats right lots of places around OZ don't have ideal longboard conditions and vice versa.
We have a large LB community up this way and they love it. I just prefer the other waves Would love to live somewhere like Stuk and have access to his local - the LB would get much more of a workout.
Not been much happening here on the point Ted. Surfing the beachies for the past few months.
But to add my bit to the thread, 51 old started surfing on an old rubber surf o plane in the late sixties. Now 100% longboards. For the point a 10' log and the beaches a 9' ECS bamboo compflex HP.
