Being a surfer just wasn't enough for me. waiting for good swell while kitesurfers are ripping and tearing up the surf. it just didn't make sense why i did kitesurf. 2 years down the track.. this could be your potential...

I'm so very pleased for you Kye, now if you and your kind can concentrate on frequenting those hard to reach waves well away from the beach breaks where long boarders, short boarders, gromets, learners and nippers in training are just trying to have a nice afternoon surf after a hot Friday, all will be good.
Unlike one of you brethren who farked up an afternoon for about 30 of the above last Friday at Longreef.
I don't know what offended me the most, his intrusions into the beach break, the stupid grin on his stupid dial as he was doing it, or maybe it was just his girly little screams when you got in his way.

well maybe all the people in the kite surfing forum already kite.. i dont think that this is for them since there not geting into it.. think out side the box..
I did. Spent two summers and $3500 trying to learn. Between family, surfing, fickle winds I couldn't get the time necessary and gave up. I know a few surfers who kite and they all agree it's still windy and raging onshore. Sounds a blast really.
So what happens when a something like a farking seagull flies thru that thingo up there and punctures the farker and you're out yonks from shore alone on a farking toothpick ???? besides being a freebie for a 20 foot whitey that is
I've been meaning to get into windsurfing for years. I've heard its harder than kiting but I think its more my style. My 666 has a plug for some light wind surfing, so gonna get into it soon
I like the simplicity of a surfboard. Walk down the beach, rub on some wax, put legrope on and paddle out...surf waves, paddle in, detach legrope and done.
I hadn't been snowboarding since living in Colorado back in the 90's and took the kids snowboarding this last winter.
What a pita that was with all the gear and the lift rigmarole.

ha, and there is always something you forget or its in the other parker or pants etc etc. or you drop something amongst all the clothing, gloves, mitts, lift passes sunscreen, board or ski lock, lip balm, wallet , keys, hemet, helment liner, hydro pack, beanie, neck warmer, phone, lighter, cigs etc etc
I still have dreams about forgetting stuff for the snow.
losing my custom fitted boots for me duck feet heads the list

I tried Windsurfing in my younger years and it was fun, but way to much work.. Leg rope and board, wax every other session is good enough
