I know what you mean there. On a heavy single fin where you pivot turn a forehand cut back you get down low and kind of do a wheelie and swing it around if that makes any sense. Your back foot is facing forward instead of across the stringer and the knee comes down .
There were a few guys in a mal club I used to surf in who did it all the time. One guy used to only ride singles but another guy used to do it on thrusters.
I think it would be easier to master on a big heavy single fin because you pivot turn them but with a driving turn you do on a thruster I dont know how that guy from the club used to do it. Ray Gleaves got a rough idea on how its done.
