Exactly!!!!! Its unbelievable when you think about it. Even if Dank has done nothing wrong from a legal perspective his poor industry must have lost a lot of respect for failing to show any real benefit for clubs who want to spend all the extra money.

Some big games tonight - would love to be going to the SCG to see the Swans / Cats game. I hope the howling wind does not ruin the spectacle.

I agree the whole saga with the Dees is depressing and disturbing especially if they were given performance drugs, should have given them Party drugs instead, worked for cousin Benny and Co...
If they loose this week, goodbye Neeldy, although being a scapegoat is shameful, hopefully a clean out of the management that has organized the last 6+ years of rebuilding can happen as well...

A great game of footy! I was doing cart wheels at the pub in the 3rd quarter alright!!

Top 8 is already pretty settled, to a point.
Tigers, Port, Blues, Roos and Crows are the teams with the pressure to perform, hold their nerve, and earn their finals spot.

Bombers, Hawks, Pies, Cats, Swans are looking good at the moment.

Dockers & Eagles need some players back.

How was Demon's 4th quarter!

Some great games happened on the weekend, Great win by the Cats, um er Pies, but for me the standout was Majak for the Roo's he will be a star

Moving over to a Full Forward discussion;
I think Jack R at Tigers is brilliant, Cloke at Pies (Not South Aus Pies though) is also great... Franklin is really a Centre Half Forward I think...
And I think Tom Hawkins (Tomma-Hawk / Tomahawk) is actually the best value Full Forward going around... Weight for Age... Heavy Weight, & Young. Loads of footy left in him. Plus he's the type of big unit you want in Finals Football, when it really matters. He makes the defenders nervous!

We picked up Tom Hawks as "Father-Son". Plus G Ablett Snr's kids. Andrew Bews' kid Jed Bews is also at the club now. Young Allen Christensen is also a local boy, nephew to both Marty & Damien Christensen who both played for The Cats in the '80's. He's the son of the 3rd son (Brendan), and I think he must have married an aboriginal girl, because Marty & Damien where pure white last time I looked!! (*1)

*1 - I love seeing the aboriginal guys runs around, and I even umpired a stack of aboriginal footy in the NT Islands, plus mixed white & black stuff back in Darwin... Great memories...

Jimmy Bartel & Cameron Ling were also born & bred here. Joel Selwood was from Bendigo, but grew up as a Cats supporter. Lucky boy, now captain of the club he loves most of all...

Harry Taylor & Mitch Duncan are actually WA boys originally.
Ben Counsin's dad also played at Geelong!

Pies & Hawks current Captains are both from Geelong also... Luke Hodge went #1 in Jimmy Bartel's draft. Jimmy went #8. In hind sight, Jimmy has been a better player.

AFL Expansion;
I would love to see The Tassie Devils, and Northern Territory (Crocodiles?) enter the comp. Even 20 teams... But I think maybe NZ would like to submit a team... I agree, would love them involved. Prefer not to have a bye... But maybe with 21 teams, you play everyone once, 20 rounds, plus 1 round bye...

id love to see a NT team join the AFL! would be the toughest away game to play for most other teams thats for sure!!

Caro Wilson is a joke...every article she writes pretty much calls fro someone to be sacked....the age should sack her and get someone more balanced in...Mark Robinson is much better writer IMO...
