This is exactly the idea.
Just this morning, i paddled with a guy, who was demoing the FANATIC Stubby 8"6 for the first time.
He dropped 20L from his old performance board and thought he'd 1). never paddle a 120L board and 2). would paddle a board so easily that's 8"6
He was riding like he'd owned it for months and was stoked.
Don't look at this style of board as the same thing a pro is going to ride, because its not.
The concept is to make it easier for your average guy in average conditions, to surf better. Which means fun!
Yeah some do it better then others, but the idea is there.
