Starboard 11'2 The Blend Sportstech (wood)

and not SUP but looking to offload a Ripcurl Classic Funboard mini mal 7'6 in a full on wood veneer so I can put the cash towards commissioning that Swedish wooden bath making dude to make me one of his woody SUPs.

Or maybe I'll just get one of those Street SUP longboard and big stick combo in (you guessed it) wood.

Don't actually personally own any SUB's right now, but over the last few months have owned/demo'd/ridden quite a few, including:

C4 Waterman 9'0(Batwing), 9'3&9'6(Subvectors), 9'9(Slingblade) 10'6 Wide Glide, 10'x28, 12'0 HoloHolo
Starboard 7'11x29.5, 8'5x29.5,  9'x30, 9'x33, 9'8x30, 10'5x30, 10'x34(whopper)
Laguna Bay 8'6
McCoy 8'?
PSH 9'6, 10'6, 12'(Gun)
Gerry Lopez 8'10, 9'6, 10'3 (Riviera models)
Ron House 9'1, 9'6, 10'6, 11'0, 12'0
7S Uber 10'2, 12'0
McTavish 9'0, 9'6
Coreban 9'6, 11'6
NSP 10'6, 11'
DC 8'0, 8'8, 8'10, 9', 11', 12'6, 14', 17'
Chris Garrett 8'11, 9'4
Secret Agent 10'?
Southpoint 9'6, 10', 10'6
Maunalua 10'4
Naish 8'0(quick splash in creek thanks Jacko), 9'6

There are a few others I can't remember, but have surfed most of these, and Yes, I do own a shop full of boards, but I am not adding this to show off/promote/be a smartarse.
It's just amazing to think that this (50odd boards) wouldn't even be close to half the SUB models available right now, whereas a year or so ago, there wouldn't have been close to half as many around.

Good question "Which one do you prefer?", but impossible to answer with just one board.
Different boards shine in different conditions, and for different people/weights.
Being lightweight (around 70kg) and shortboard surfer, I love the smaller boards, particularly in punchy shorebreak. The SB7'11 literally flies, and the DC8'0 definitely the most challenging (Lacey and Billboard laughing themselves off their boards at me until I finally got on a wave) but well worth it. What a workout. The SB8'5, Coreban 9'6, and McT 9'0 stable and loose, the Laguna 8'6 stable, loose and fast. All of these good for late takeoffs/big drops. Think the DC 8'10, Garretts, Batwing and Lopez8'11 would be best on bigger, more hollow waves, the Garrett (9'4) gains massive speed and holds well. Sub Vectors are fast thru sections too. Different fin setups will increase a boards versatility for different conditions too, so the more options/boxes the better.
For cruisy point waves, the mid size boards are the goods, have had best sessions on 10'6 C4, and Ron house 9'6, and could set up a picnic table on the Whopper it was so stable.
At the end of the day it's all about the fun, or stoke factor, and if I had to choose one board only for everything, would most likely be the new Model 9'0x30"SB, as it seems the best all rounder for my size right now. Sure that will change within a week tho. Would prefer all of the above with right board for the day's conditions...Lacey is definitely right in the assumption that more than one SUP is needed to cover all bases well, and at the end of the day comes down to personal preference and what feels right. Sorry for hogging/hijacking the post, but answered only way I could honestly. Feel free to PM me with any more specific q's.
