Not everyone that paddles a stand up wants to have a sexual relationship with a Naish board.

How do you guys tell them apart on the beach? They all look the same.

Sorry some have yellow rails and some have white.

chuck

Sounds like you wish Naish brought their boards out in lots of different colours.. What colour would you like?. You can always paint it or put some stickers on it.

If it's a proven design.. good construction.. and a reasonable price.. and you're not hung up on being different etc.. I think you can't go wrong with the new 14' Naish.

If it's being different that matters the most and you don't mind paying more.. and waiting.. I think you need to order a custom board.. DC's and SIC boards seem to be the go.

There's also C4's.. Hobie's.. and Bark boards if you can find a shop that sells them... Good luck with whatever you decide do and let us know what you end up getting.

cheers dude yea im planing on being there but probly to do the windsurf race inless i can do bouth i have tried jon hibards k15 last year which was not to bad just wondering what type to go for rather than actual board to buy. im still tempted to maybe build my own eather fully molded or posably a ply frame then plank it with very thin stips of hardwood and then a thin glass over the top but in realitly i need a board for this summer to race on.thanks for the offer of the demo i may well take you up on that would be good to try a proper board to compare.im not actualy to far from you anyways im over near brighton

ive had a quick look at the naish but i beleve not to many hit the uk and are very expensif when the do they look quite nice though.

cheers charlie

Do it Jenkz, only live once mate! Pretty hard to hide a 17 in the shed though, think you might have to fess up to that one... I reckon the 14 would also be perfect for you too, and very very different to the 12. My guess is that you would hardly ever use the 12 again if you got a 14, but if you got a 17 you would probably want both.

Keep us posted!

Imagine how much fun next summer would be if there were a few 16+' boards floating around. Mate, we have the perfect part of the world for it, great wind, long stretch, of coast, no crowds (except for kites) and no waves so you won't be surfing.

Sell the kid, then no uni fees, plus some extra money to buy the board.
Thats why I had 3, keep the 2 nice ones and sell the other. Its up to their behaviour as to which ones I keep and which one goes

I will be waiting awhile for my Naish to arrive.

Maybe when hell freezes over.

Check out the for sale section here, there are plenty for sale.

There's 2 12 ft and 2 17ft Naish boards for sale thats not bad out of how many. Whats your point??

there are 4 DC too
you sound like a troll to me

My point is they are a dime a dozen, I have had two Naish boards.

Glad they are gone.

New ones look to be better quality.

Forgot this is open forum, am I not allowed to voice my opinion.

Troll? I thought name calling wasn't allowed on here.

Maybe you live under a bridge yourself.

I supouse my point is there are more boards out there than just Naish.

You are a little bit quick to judge and name call.

But people that sell boards and have a vested intrest will get there back up over a little fun poking.

Like I said I have been reading these pages for over a year.

DJ you are right I could just give a board a tye dye paint job and save some time on a custom.

Do not get your back too much because you sell certain brands, and not everyone shares your "stoke" about them.

14 ft seem to be the ones to shoot for and I have paddled the glide, and it's clean look and downwind fit I dug. Also have paddled the starboard, and it is also very quick. there is alot of opinions about gear. although in my humble opinion I would suggest choose performance over Aesthetics anyday..

This is simply not the case so don't fall for this.

There are plenty of good choices out there for you. I would recommend coming down to the next SUPSA (Gold Coast) open day where there are normally a good range of DW boards to look at. There are also a few 2nd hand boards out there, which are a good place to start (I even have one).

My personal recomendation would be to go for something 14' or longer. This should cater for most of your needs when you go to the UK.
