guys, first thank you for all the advice.... I am glad to hear I am not the only one on this boat. Just to summarize some answers
- I normally surf when is big but I am finding a special feeling in getting the Sup flying down a big wave that I don't get from a small board (unless its very hollow)
- I will test a shorter leash (I did feel it too stretchy)
- I like the T hold (I was holding with one hand and trying to swim with the other one
- and yes I have no probs using rips and lulls and getting out over white water... it is just when you are in between sets and a monster one strikes a bit further than expected
