very nice board

ok, got the board late Saturday morning.it's taken me three sessions in the creek mouth catching waves and runners to work it out.the rudder position is perfect for normal paddling etc. when it comes to wave or runner riding. 9 or 10' back is the position. that allows you to slip your left foot forward to tap the rudder, then you can go back to neutral and step the right foot back if needed. so to me it is very much the same as the vortice which when i rode one had definite positions according to what you were doing. another step back and and it surfs really well given that we widened the board a bit from behind it's wide point. doesn't seem to have lost anything to the other skinnier dc14' in terms of getting waves/runners.lastly, yes it is fast, seemingly quicker then the other dc14.

Is that a chimed edge about 3" in from the rail where your hand is in that second pic?.. and is there any concaves?

yeah, chimed rails,slightly rounded bottom running into double barrel concaves, then runs to a v off the square tail. there's a lot there and it was decided to show the bottom. lots of r&d has gone into that

I had a paddle on this board in the creek the other day, with Lacey. It really has a nice feel about it and it really fast too. It had very little drag on the tail too, which was really nice to see. For those speed merchants out there it should be a good racer.

Hopefully we will get this out in the ocean soon and see how she goes on the runs. If it is anything like the previous one it should be really good. It should also be more stable than the original one.

I would have paddled it as well but I didnt think my luck was in that day, turns out my car broke the next day also so lucky for that one eh Lacey, your board could have taken the cars hit.

Takes more than that to test my patience.

Right now would be insane for a downwinder
