HaHA thats so yesterdays news!!! wish i had a camera today on my downwinder i could have been shark rider!!!

Well it was not like this. But i did mow down 3 hammer heads on palmy reef one will have a Naish imprint on its back..

A small whale was stuck in the nets and Dale and Casso paddled out to check it out from a distance (the camera angle makes it look closer than it is).

Anyway the Seaworld guys rocked up and started their rescue attempt. While they were trying to cut it loose the adult whales were also trying to free it. There were a few harrowing moments for the rescuers (4-5th time this year on the Goldie!) but they eventually got it free.

We all watched it from the Burleigh headland and it was great to see them finally Free Willie.

If you are up this way check out the TV news as Casso was interviewed. He is a lot uglier in real life. Watch out for any paintshop work in his new magazine!

I suggest you need to look at the current regulations on approaching any cetation in Aust waters.

It's just an optical illusion with a big lens. I really wasn't very close at all.

Yeah, just the duds - you should see the ones where I climbed onto its back and rode it like a bucking bronco!

Just a quick look (from a distance) to see what had happened to the poor little fella. He was caught up too badly for me to do anything though.

Goatman, Jacko, Scotty and I got some awesome waves at The Alley on Monday morning.

ahhh noooooooooooo. you and the goatman have been lucky, normally this the season of onshores up here. hope you get some more before you go home
