Stick to the 111km distances and that top spot is all yours

The course looks awesome - we don't have anything like that here in SA. Sprinting is hard but anyone can do it and it really allows entire families to join in - so good onya for getting it going.

Please post the times - keen to see how you guys went on the 200m.

Hi Peter

These are the times from the Mens A Final. Tail wind conditions of 8kts. I'll post the Women's times when they get approved. Peter Pridmore paddled in split the whole way on one side. We watched him in the semi and his line was almost perfectly straight!

Did he have a tweaked fin?

He did indeed. I had experimented with one briefly during the week, but run out of time to fine tune it. Pete had two versions (the first one broke). It worked well.

I was waiting on the start line for the next semi and yes it was amazing watching him track straight down the middle whilst everyone else was zig zagging all over the place, I am sure there will be a few more tweaked fins for the next sprint meet.

It was very noticeable how much time you lost swapping sides when you were neck and neck with someone the whole way.

Great times! Thats 12.9km/h for the fastest guy!

The tailwind will have given him an advantage but that is really fast!
