Not sure where you gathered this from but I was at last years Qld titles and the following people were ALL at the event and qualified for the Aussies.

Open Men 4 spots:- Keahi de Aboitiz , Jackson Close , Geoff Breen & Justin Holland
Open Women 2 spots:- Jen Ryan & Shakira Westdorp
Over 40's 2 spots:- Myself & Steve Richardson

So who on this list are you saying got through on a video NSW because they are the host get extra spots and can post a wildcard.

It's great to see Tassie coming to compete and that your "2013 TassieSUP Winter Classic" will be your selection for the Aussies and if I manage to struggle through again I look forward to catching up with you guys for a beer or 3

Details of the upcoming state titles are almost finalised and will be posted in the coming week.
Good sponsors on board already so should be pleny of goodies on offer for all who make the effort to attend.

No ! BUT a big electrical retailer will be supplying some prizes and I am in negotiations with a number of other potential sponsors.
Its looking like being the best value for money surf comp' in the country bar none !

What are the maximum and the minimum dimentions

allowable for a surf contest SUP board.

There are NO board size restrictions. I'll have everything from 8.2 to 10.2 to cover all possible conditions.

I caught a wave once, it's on a video too! Do I qualify for one of those cool hoodies??

thanks for submiting your video, but we are afraid you will need to attend the "TassieSUP Winter Classic" to be eligible for selection for the official team, as we speak the board of TassieSup are in negotaitions with the board of Surfing Tasmania as to when and where it will be held, we have penciled in 22/6 @ Scamander however you can purchase a Hoodie direct from the manufacturer "Sea Urchin Design" contact evesmith271@hotmail.com and you we be able to collect your hoodie at the "TassieSUP Winter Classic" and why not order a t shirt while your at it, maybe Eve can you you a deal ?

skeghead and i are are doing a fiji, pre-comp training camp.

it's day 3 and we've hired boards from andrew at beachut resort.

got a good deal for 7 days

it's andrew's birthday ..HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU ..

we're staying at mango bay resort which is 3 k's down the coast

from beachouse

we got a full-on session in at dawn today on the high tide .. glassy

head high plus and grinding ontothe reef

we would have prefered it without the grinding

but you've got to take it as it comes.

few scuffs on the reef but good outcome considering.

we hadto paddle 3k's to the break so by the time

we got backto mango bay we'd had a good wotkout.

today we've got an appointment with the mango bay

surf ghru .. who has a boat .. and will give us a full

training calendar fot the remainder of our stay.

no crowds .. just us and one short boarder.

Sounds like you are just trying to blow the TassieSUP expense account, won't do you much good surfing in 30C water when the " TassieSUP Winter Classic" will be run in 10C

I'll take the warm air and water while I can get It RR . 2MT has taken to taking off well inside of where I feel comfortable and needless to say it has not ended well at times with him seen having a close inspection of the lovely coral . There is also a fish wearing one of my contacts out there , I think my eyeballs were sticking out further than usual as I took a dive fore the shallow bottom . Anyway we have survived another day.

There will also be a training camp at Carlton river on sat and sun of the long weekend (8/9 june) - 2 wks prior to the state titles - will be fun and informative - all welcome.

Carlton rivers original no.1 & no.2 were spotted at the super bank this arvo putting in some training in some good waves, looks like they will take out the teams trophy again this year going on their present form!
