i have been ridding the 10'3" gun pro and bloody love it!!!

i have also been ridding the 10'5" and the 9'8" and have settled on the 10'3"

to me the 10'3" has the perfect blend of balance, turn and glide. it goes well in small stuff and great when its a bit bigger and you can get some speed up it RIPs!!!!

10'3" Pro all the way!!

I could go on and on about how much i like that board

O come on towball if you are religious its not weight/height but belief in the board that makes you a surf god

I have just been through a bit of trail and was able to demo quite a few of the Starboards .
I was more interested in the shorter boards and tried boards from the 8'5" pocket rocket up , including the Hero .
I didn't ride the 10'3 but ended up on the 9'8" pro and I think it is very versatile . It has plenty of glide to get onto the waves early , it is easy to use and really stable ( compared to PSH 9'6" WR for eg )
It still has the ability to turn well and loosens up a lot when used with a smaller centre fin pushed all the way forward . It has great drive off the bottom and really carries speed well down the line . Even with the small fin pushed forward the board tracks very well and is easy to position and paddle onto the wave .

I ride this board in sucky beach break waves most of the time and find it the best all rounder . Comfortable to paddle out through the whitewater (very stable) and still long enough to do a bit of cross stepping and nose riding (well almost ,but that is down to lack of ability not the board).

I am 83 kg and 5'10" and have never wanted more length to be able to get into a wave earlier . The faster this board is ridden the more comfortable it feels , unfortunately I haven't had it out in any big conditions yet .

Don't mean to try and talk you into another board , just wanted to give you another opinion to back up towball as he seems to like his .

No SUP expert but I think it is due to the outline on the PSH and possibly the bottom shape .

Wrote a comparison on the PSH and the 9'8" pro in the review section .

Really a 29 wide board more stable than a 30 wide board

Hey hilly, funny things happen with board stability that you can't tell from just looking at the raw numbers. I went from a 9'6 Naish to the 8'5 Pocket Rocket, admittedly the PR is 1/4" wider but for me it feels so much more stable despite the shorter length and significantly lower volume - and it really doesn't pearl! Takes a brave man to contradict the opinion of someone who has actually ridden both boards (which I assume MikeN has done) rather than just look at the dimensions which only tell a small part of the story....

Owned the 9 6 Wr and the 9 8 x 30 sb the pro is based on but I don't know sh1t from clay.

What I should have said is get the 10 6 psh gun, for big waves at the moment it one of the best big wave boards around and AA will ship you one

Next your going to be tell me their paddles are best on the market too

In reviews Compare like with like, saying one board 2 inches longer and with a big fat nose is more stable than a board with a pointy nose and thin tail?? No sh1t sherlock

Mike may want to declare his association with starboard when reviewing their products I think everything he owns is Airush or starboard but I could be wrong
