Much safer than the main dam. Too many idiots in boats. We had the whole place to ourselves and never once got even close to a problem.
TBH I don't understand why its such a problem. What is so dangerous about the pondage? We stayed further away from both the outlet and inlet than they recommend on the main dam. For the water level to change enough to bother us it would have to drown all the fishermen.
