Oh dear me, Mr Overit what an angry young man you appear to be. You live in a lovely place like Gerroa and you carry attitudes like that around with you.
If my memory serves me correctly Gerroa is called "7 Mile Beach" for a reason. Methinks there might be a place you can find to surf where you are not so sorely harrassed.
Enjoy your next surf!!!!!

I have SUP'd Gerroa quite a few times and found the locals to be nothing but friendly, I guess there is always the risk that some idiot will spoil things but hopefully Mr Overit wont be out in the water .

<snip> Hence they had to be banned <snip>

Welcome to our forums - can I suggest you take a quick look at our forum rules? www.seabreeze.com.au/Members/Help/ForumRules.aspx

Some people might say your first post was the equivalent of riding a surf board irresponsibly between the flags, and they might be right.

So who had the power to set up this ban? IF it was the council it must be minuted somewhere otherwise it never happened.

For arguements sake, just say it is minuted somewhere.

The next step is that the surf school will want to teach the ever increasingly popular SUP surfing. What happens to the ban then?

Rather than looking at the symptom, they should be looking at the underlying problem, i.e. people disrupting surf-lessons or endangering the participants - they should be the ones banned for safety reasons and the type craft they are currently riding is irrelevant.
