That's Little Manly Cove where I came to grief in the last East Coast low in the week before the Snowy McCalister. Although I damaged mine and another yacht, I was lucky enough to keep my boat off the beach. What happened on my first SUP is Sea breeze history and hopefully "water under the bridge'.
I went around the cove yesterday to check the mooring I was forced to share did not break away in this storm. Thankfully the yacht I damaged was still happily bobbing around in the seas. I did clip the lifelines of another boat causing minor damage. Her owner was just stoked no one got killed. The place is a death trap!
The latest event really shows how dangerous this place is. Lucus needs to amend his cruising guide with a big warning. Currently he just reads the place is "untenable" in a westerly. It needs to say "stay the f$ck away in a southerly"!
