Looks great Greg. Can some tell us if you can change your entered division on the day depending on conditions ? If it's flat and no wind which I hope is not the case at all I may just have the board for that type of conditions



I would love to see you paddle that board in the race Stimo....especially considering Galvo and Basha and I saw you fall off it in the river when a six inch boat wake hit you!!

All signed up with sup wa just need to enter was going to wate and see long range forecast on Monday but I'll say I'll be there kids have a surf club meet they can go to on Sunday. Few questions on life jackets which one is best for paddle comfort can you use self inflating or manual inflation??
Also if you nominate in unlimited can you change on the day to say 12"6" if you thought the conditions on the day were better suited.well done rganisers hope it's cranking .

Hey Radman Inflateable PFD's are ok, and more comfortable, we will have some for sale at the registration on the day, we will allow a change of board devisions up until Thursday, we have a heap of admin to organise the night before and it would make our life a lot easier on the day, be great to see you make the trip down for it, a few of us did the run last weekend and we will doing it again on Sunday, it is awesome.

Right on rogj picked up a RFd inflatable dosnt seem to get in the wayor chaff ,geraldton surf and sale kindly gave me some nanotune to try out make the f16 go even quicker,froth froth frothing see yous all there.

Unfortunately I have to give a Mandurah run a miss tomorrow, will do a port to swanny run instead, a few crew will be heading down to Mandurah pm me if you want some details.

Don't forget to get your entries in for next weekend, online closes tomorrow so make sure you avoid the late charge by registering through the surfing WA website before tomorrow night.

Some weird weather going on at the moment, but Saturday is shaping up to be great !! The 3 metre swell and 15 - 20 knot Southerly will create some awesome runs, and make the last 200 metres very interesting for the spectators (and competitors !!). The finish will be at Singleton Beach, be there by 3.00pm to watch the excitement, and cheer the paddlers home. The race commitee are still chasing a couple of volunteers to help with some on-land admin on the day, if you can help, please let Greg K ( Goochi) or myself know.

Yes we are keeping an eye on that. There is some flexibility with the race time to account for the best wind. That's the plus of having an event run by SUP paddlers vs surf ski/kayakers guys.

Could do with a few more in the unlimited field though.

Stimo, I just assumed you'd be on an unlimited either way - lumpy or flat.


It's a hard to choose over 40 and try and take that out on a 14 or unlimited only problem is Hilly racing open now and the big fella is coming of some hard training at Mambo drinking and taking out a race win he's using my 17 dc which is quick I am assuming you and Rog Pete all entering the open age group as you all are just 40 not like us 46 year olds


I'd be worried if I was coming up against Hilly. He was very serious at the Corona event in Merimbula. He did lots of carbo loading and displayed an absolutely flawless strategy when racing. He took all of the downwinders very seriously and didn't wait for any of his mates. He beat guys like Jacko to the finish when downwinding. He's in awesome form. Look out guys!!!

What a lot of dogs bollocks [}:)] apart from the carbo loading A) I got the upwind leg and I missed the tackle on Piros B) due to carbo loading I missed most of the dwers C) I have no mates D) Jacko flew past

All SUPWA members that have Inflatable Type 1 PFDs. RFD at Rous head is offering a discounted service/cansiter check for the downwind racing season. $30 (includes canister replacement if required).

RFD details are :

36 Rous Head Road'
North Fremantle.

9336 1966.


Inflatable PFD type 1 are the recommended PFD by the WA Department of Transport and will be accepted at all SUPWA, CWA and AOCRA events in WA. (please note that PFD type 2 and 3 are also accepted at these events)

Had the new DC 14 out a few times and she is a dream to paddle. Amazing that she is 3" narrower than my last DC, yet feels just as stable, but a whole lot slicker thru the water. Dale IS the master !!
