Ah...the joys of trying to run a downwind race!

The wind looks like it will now be SOUTH in the morning so we will be setting up for a start at BONDI.

Please pass the word around. There are only about 20 SUPs paddling so hopefully no-one misses out.

If it is howling NorEast in the morning, the race will revert back to a Watsons Bay start but this looks highly unlikely. However, if it was the case the decision will be made by 7am - just call or txt me on 0403260200 if in doubt.

Hopefully the forecast holds true and we have a pleasant DW paddle along the cliffs...and in the sunshine .

Yes we (Lou / Eastcoast SUP and I) made the run up but circumstances had us spectating but none the less, it's about being involved (on any level) huh ?

Made this little video of our Bondi morning....(no spectacular cliff faces and runners though).



Long story short, Lou and I paddled out north end (near car) and went down for the start, paddled in for the briefing, guy on rubber duckie told us not to bother and go down to South Bondi for start.....we did - with about 100 sea kayaks / OC's etc.

We wondered where all the SUP's were, started with the others only to see the SUP's rounding the northern peninsula about 1.5km in front of us - evidentially they'd started earlier at the north end and as we missed the briefing, we didn't know. Bugger !...lack of comms by organisers, stupidity on us for not being at briefing, dim wit on duckie for telling us to head south - no bother, that's they way it goes.
