Remember this link..... Well if you read it you will see that I was a complete skeptic. Today a friend of mine bought the hologram and I did the test. Got absolutely no idea how it could possibly work but it seems to. I couldn't get to the shop fast enough and I just purchased two of them.

www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=49673

POWER BALANCE was developed as the marriage of two ideas: First, years of extensive research into holographic and lenticular media showed the complexity of the hologram and the fact that it can be programmed to hold certain frequencies. Second, further research was necessary to understand what frequency it was that best promoted energy flow throughout the body. Once discovered, this led to the unconventional programming of bio-resonating frequencies onto holograms. The result was POWER BALANCE. Similar forms of this technology have been used in Eastern medicine for centuries and are quickly being introduced and embraced in the west.

Ideally you would have three. They work best in triangles one on each wrist and one on your heart.

But I really bought two, because I know you will buy it when I do the test on you. And if you don't, I'll bury it in the ground and climb the beanstalk that grows from it the next morning.

Here's a clip from Today Tonight

1. I don't believe it. It just screams bull****.'

2. The tests are bull****. Dodgey poses and dodgey applications of pressure. Nothing even remotely measurable or free of external influence. They offer proof after proof and not one can be repeated or measured.

3. It would be easy to do a simple scientific test. Put a cuff on a person's wrist with a hook and add weights and measure the deflection.

When I saw this on Today Tonight and heard what it had done for Tiger Woods I decided to get one to enhance my sex life too.
I was amazed at the differrence it made to my strength, balance, energy and particularly endurance

The feeling of wellness comes to the supplier by him pocketing your money and holidaying in the Bahamas drinking rum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you also need to buy a Peter Brock Energy Polarizer for your SUP they can be glassed into the stringer for best effect.

Fit a large tubular pyramid to your SUP to concentrate the aural energy and you will surf like Kelly Slater tomorrow.

Yep Oliver, I have one. I got mine free as I know someone who has something to do with it and I was the biggest sceptic.
But people get curious so I do a couple tests and they freak out. I know nothing about how they work or any tricks to use
when testing people but it works every time. I don't understand it.

Either way, as Brooko said if it was a placebo and it makes you perform better/feel better then it's all good. I know a few
crew now who think they are surfing better, more flexible etc and I've even seen people say their knee/shoulder/back etc
haven't felt this good in years.

I also heard that surf brands are stitching them into boardies, the US army are stitching them into uniforms and a
big physio group in OZ will be endorsing them as well.

I hear where you are coming from Brendan. It's just plain weird. All the outspoken people are the people who haven't tried it - I was gorgo yesterday.

A guy in the office brought it in and converted 6 of us there and then. I couldn't pull my credit card fast enough and bought two of them. My kids lol at me and then I did the test on them and then the questions came. It's fricken weird and worth it just to freak people out.

I wish I was one of the people behind it cause internet sales have sold out and the health food shop where I bought it there was panic buying going on - the shopkeepers in the store were all glassy eyed - the display was in dissaray and they just wanted to test everyone there. It was funny as.

There is aparently a test to see if these things work (not your simple do it at home test).

The selling pitch is something like this:
- The human body runs on electrons or some tech electrical word like that
- Most people run at about 5hz when the optimum is more like 7 or 8hz
- Adding the power balance technology increases output from 5hz to 7hz or there abouts

Soooo...if we humans do in fact run on some type of "hz" that is measureable and they know we run at around 5hz,
couldn't they just test what our output is after we put on a power balance band?

IS this "hz" thing all just a load of crap??
Apparently the Incredible Hulk ran on approx 11hz which explains his super human strength!

LOL, there is a website but they have sold out. www.powerbalance.com.au/ they have some links to stores, but judging by what happened to me today they will be out of stock.

The glassy eyed guy in the health food store where I bought them said next month they will have some that are double the strength. You got to laugh about it.

I heard A Current Affair is going to expose power balance tonight. Somehow I can't see them being as generous as Today Tonight was to it.

Hey DJ,

I dont know if its better than the Naish 11'6 I have never ridden 1 so cant compare.

The Naish 11'4 that Ronnie rides works like a weapon for him in both big and small surf thats all I can say.

Regards

Phill

Grab yourself a dumbbell set. Find the heaviest weight you can hold with your arm outstretched. Mark a line on the wall so you can check the level. Repeat several times. Note the weights and any wavering of your arm. Maybe add the time you can hold the weight.

Add Power Balance. Repeat the above. Note the weights and any wavering of your arm and time.

That should give you a measure of the effectiveness of the Power Balance thing in terms of kilograms.

Ideally you should test a number of people including convinced, sceptical and don't care.

F@ck it. I'll just buy one and do it myself. ... not at $60 I won't.

Apprently you can now buy power balance suppositories but they are 100mm in diameter x 4 strength.

If your flexible and capable enough to insert them you have the mental strength and pain tolerance to achieve many other tasks in life.

They also maintain once inserted you will remain completely full of vitality.

Available at local supermarkets ask for them by name!

Here is a better test:

Make an indentical set of these things so that the user will not know if they are the originals or not. Then do the same strength/balance tests, swapping original and fake around a few times. This should work out whether there is something to them or not.

I don't believe anything that comes from any of those current affairs shows as they are the lowestt form of jounalism around. But, would be open minded enough to give this test a go...

a mate of mine is right into these things, and I have used one a few times. in all honesty did not notice a huge difference, if any.

But I have to say in this article dailystoke.com/ there are some guys who rip giving it props.

Juries out, but different strokes for different folks, and if it increases your fun in the water...who am I to judge..

Mikeman, I really like your suggestion of providing an identical fake....and if that works get that order for 100,000 of them straight to China. Power of suggestion makes the world go round if you look at most of the non essential items we buy anyway.

scotty at greenline made me do it and then put something in my outer hand and sure - stronger and balanced. i believe you could grab a comb and get the same thing. think it just gives the other side of your bodys muscle some contraction to balance out the other side working in resistance or something like that. in general surfing if you keep both arms- shoulders balanced against each other you will surf well. a common mistake is guys dropping their inside shoulder on a cutback and they fall off. watch the pro's, their shoulders stay aligned with their body no matter what rad positions they get into
