Hey Swanie, had my spy glasses on you and Lincoin this morning at M'dore river.
Looks like Lincoin has the goods to push the big boys (Kelly, Beau, Jacko ect) in the race????? Hope the Goldie boys don't think the $500 bucks is going south!!!!!

The race is in front of Tickle Park. Coolum is not that large so won't be hard to find. The race is just to the north of the Surf Club.
There is a public car park in front and a skate park.

We Also have Cell, Jayne, Ryan and Rhys which could all be dark horses. I will put it on the bar if I win....... Now how many blockers do I have to take out the rest of the field.

Great effort by Swannie and the sunny coast crew in organising a great event and congratulations to all the winners and place getters showing how it's done in the tricky conditions. An amazing effort by Kelly to win by 7 minutes and lapping most of the field

I think it was more about 3 minutes not 7 min from where I was watching. 7 minutes would've been nearly a whole lap in front of beau.

Sick day was had by all and heaps learnt!!! well done to all the winners and everyone else who gave it a go. I was stoked to see so many people happy and stoked with their effort and already talking about how to improve for next time.

I think i heard the times read out were 45min for kelly and 46 something for Beau they are both paddling really well at the moment, i could be wrong here by the way as i have been wrong once before sometime!!. I was besides Beau at the start and i have never seen him fall of his board 6 times in a row ever so there is some thing for him to work on for next time. The young grom Lincon paddled really well and was unlucky at the end not to place but i'm sure there will be a next time!!

I was stoked with how all the Roar team paddled and it was great to see the training starting to pay of for everyone and with the program we are working on only just starting it was a good first hit out of thing to come hopefully!!

Thanks to the Ocean Addict boy for putting on a great fun day.

Hi all
Thanks for a great day. The list of thank you could be endless. The crew from the club where absolutely awesome and I would be worried to leave someone out so thanks to all. Special mention must go to guys like Steve, Mark, Andrew, Peter (Jonsey Father in Law) and PT who were there early and just kept working. Great commentary aswell PT. As a club we all pulled together and did a great event. Huge thanks and plug for the Guys from Ocean Addicts. Once again they have stepped forward and offered massive support to this sport and our club. They are real leaders in support in this region.
Thanks again for those who drove up for the race. Some coming (and taking the cash, well done Terrene) from central coast NSW.

Also a big thanks to Stu from leaked media. It was out of his control when it was not playing as it was going through a third party screen for the festival and another media truck. He took control of it and got it back on the air. Well done Stu.

Massive thank you to a legend of the sport, Jamie Mitchell. Decent down to to earth bloke who was so willing to help.
Jamie came up early and helped set the course, spoke to the competitors and then commentated all day. Legend all round. Huge Thanks. Looking forward to seeing te video. I will upload it when the Golden Days Festival crew edit it.

The course was 5 x 1km loops - as depicted above - same for all competitors.
Crunching in and out of the surf break was the interesting part!

Big thanks to Andy from GU and Paddles on the Sunshine Coast for coming along and supplying the hydration during and after the race. It is an excellent product and highly recommended by many that were there.

Thanks mate. Be in soon to buy some.
