The Golden Days Festival have offered half priced tickets to those involved in the race. Normally $80 but will only cost you $40. This is a bargain for the bands listed below. Plus it is good to support a festival group that is supporting our sport. They will also be playing full length sets.

We will know have an 8m high 40m2 LCD screen live broadcasting the race to the festival area. Might have to get some file made of the competitors and put them up like State Of Origin. Also will have a couple of camera crews filming from the beach, Stu on the dunes and maybe a few Go Pro's on the Lifeguards.

All will be live web streamed as well.

Tag Team:
We sought feedback from all those interested as we really want to get this right and have everyone get the most out of this race. The feedback we got was honest and constructive and we appreciate that. As a committee we have decided to change our Tag Team format to allow any 12'6" board instead of all being on the one style / brand. We hope with this change we get support from all the manufacturers by them registering a team to race the rest of us. For all those not in a specific team you can still be in the tag team race on a variety of boards within your team.

We are taking registration for both the race and also people buying tickets for the concert.

For those entering we have the opportunity to profile you on the big screen and webcast with introductions or as as you race. Bit like how they do footy players in State of Origin etc etc.

If you would like this just send me an email with your own PDF of a photo of you and your name beside it in big bold text. Don't use small text as it does not look good on the LCD. The screen is 8m high and 40m2. We will even be able to work it into the DVD we will make to send to sponsors etc.

Is that screen big enough for some of the Sunshine coast guys heads?

I was hoping some of the top ones coming started from the road to reduce the chance of me being lapped.
Some of these races do a water start. We decided that a beach start 10m back from the water edge would be best to keep all in line before the gun.

water edge or beach start are both good but beach start 10 mtr back with a compulsory leash some might get some nasty surprise
