A few years ago I went up during the comp week and the only time to get a wave was before sunrise and after sunset.
One day I paddled out at Johnsons and was faced with around 15 guy's on 3 footer charging at me,I can tell you,there was nowhere to duck for cover.

The next year I entered the event, entry fee PRICELESS to surf first point with three other guy's.

Looks like here will be waves all week and then come up again for the weekend of the finals! BRING IT ON!!

would be very nice if everyone could remember that some surfers/suppers have lived here before the crowds NOt everyone is stoked about 600( says Jarrett) coming to town, just as Im sure alot of people on this post, would not be if it was happening at their beach.Over the past week the lineup has gotten thicker and thicker, earlier and earlier.So not everyone may have the Aloha spirit,so maybe try to think how you would feel if it was happening at your beach.

Well update from Kristi apparently is kegging its nut off!

They went for a surf this afternoon and the boys were getting shacked silly.

She only caught couple (no kegs) and got smashed more often on the drop lol.
