Ok so I might be being a bit picky here, the progression is the same as last year and I know it can't change this year, but it seems a bit unfair that the men get 11 heats in total for 24 guys and everyone gets to surf at least twice, yet the girls only get 3 heats for 12 girls and if you don't place in Round 1, you're out. (It's the same for any of the other surfing divisions limited to 12 places too.)

Noosa is time poor that's why I assume they cut the over 45's even though it was full last year with a massive waiting list. There are 24 in the mens (1 spot) , 12 in the womens (full) and another 20 in the racing this will increase probably by 10 , that's 66 competitors plus if they let in the over 45's there's another 24 plus raise the cap on the womens at least another 6 .There could be almost 100 sup entrants in this event if they wanted it and it is still teated like a sideshow even though it would bring in around $10,000 in entry fees.
