Def go with the deck that matches the board! Was a bit worried when I saw the grey "busy" deck but realised sanity would prevail!
Then again I bought Matty's starboard with a pink deck so...

and no it will net be on a Mardi Gras float

I just wonder if the last 4 inches of nose were intentional, from the pics it looks like it breaks from the rocker line exagurating the actual curve. It may be meant to be there and that part of the rocker hardly makes a difference anyway except to help in very late drops it is just unusual to see that kind of flip on a board since the early 90's.

Definitely intentional. All the rippers have it to varying degrees, even the 10'11 and 10'6XW rippers.

Yes he has been doing it for a while

Kind of agree and disagree hilly. Its all about nose width and a lack of it. You can shape with a narrrow nose width and still round of the end shape to reduce length and swing weight. You see that in designs like the channel islands wizard sleeve etc.

And in my 8'2" similar.












#nOTE;
tHE PSH has the pin line and the rail paint placed in a way to make the noses look narrower than they actually are.

Didn't Blane delay the release on this series because he wasn't happy with the first production boards? Mr 10 would surely not allow an accidental mistake like this through the whole production run so this nose must be exactly what Blane wanted.

While at SHQ today I checked out the new PSH boards that just arrived while I was there.

Paul's new white 8'6" x 30" looked great.. The noses have a real Persian slipper look about them.

He's decided to run it as a quad and use the new Controller Future fins.

Weird looking nose bordering on fugerly

Just want to clarify my own comments. I did not say that it looked ugly or that it would not work, just that I found it unusual to see that nature of nose flip in a modern board. For this reason I wondered if it may have been unintentional. Looking at that photo of Estee on a proto it is apparent that he likes the flip and it is part of his design theory. Blane would know what would work.

When I look at the photos again (I must go to Roar to see with my own eyes) it looks the rail spray is making this nose look exaggerated. The spray at the point of the nose looks thicker than along the rail, this would make the nose look more flipped.

These boards look great to me, my only query was the extreme nose flip in the last 4 inches. Given that PSH is now produced by Boardworks (perhaps because of the issues mentioned above) I should have known that these boards were produced accurately. Boardworks produces very top end designs of an extremely high quality. Out.
