So now I'll have the best gear and according to some on this topic, I should therefore go really well cause it costs alot of $$. I hope so cause I paddle like crap! Good Night....

Hey, you shouldn't take random people on forums, like me, so seriously. I think you, make a terrific contribution to the forum, it's made me think about the sport differently - I enjoy reading all your posts. And the same goes too for Woogie and Stuey (whoever you random forum people are) - I'm really glad you are part of this forum.

Sue, when you get out in the water tomorrow, forget everything, have a laugh about it all, enjoy your new board, it will be great - and paddle for gold [startEdit] sorrrrrry - beer [/endEdit]. I know you will anyway.

The Honolua Surf Challenge is coming up in a couple of months - That has a 2km race in it maybe some of the big seabreeze forum talkers will be there to race.

Entries are open so be quick this year they only have 48 spots

Just for the record it is not Woogie that checks this forum he is out paddling doing what he enjoys doing - I just full him in on Forum news

Hey Dave, glad you like the look of the newie. There have been a few changes since the 16' but the concept and general design are the same. As it is 18'8" and a full 2'4" longer than the original Penetrator entirely new templates for both planshape and profile had to be drawn. Such an increase nesessitates this as at that size you cannot simply stretch the old design. It's only 1/2" narrower than the 16' but this has combined with the extra length to give its' needle like appearance. The rocker through the nose has been shifted slightly forward and decreased a tad to get a bit more of the length in the water and working for you and thickness has been increased allover by about 1/2" to help compensate for the deck concave which has been substancially deepened to lower the paddlers centre of gravity. Underwater shape has remained constant as we feel we are onto a winner there. This board should be ready for sea trials in about 5 days when Woogie will put it through it's paces, finding the sweet spot which will give the position for the steering system controls for the boards to follow. I'll post more photos on completion and a video of the beast in action during trials.......Thanks for the interest, Stuey

Hi Rob, Fast and skinny, some people say that about me! The Penetrator 572 is 18'8" long and 261/2" wide. Haven't weighed this one yet but probably will do this tomorrow evening after glassing is completed.

Mal, haven't as yet exported these, would like to get a few more in the water here yet but will be looking at it down the track for sure. If o.s. freight proves to be a killer we will be looking at having them produced under license. Cheers Stuey
