I paddled it this afternoon to see if I could do it in under 1 hour 20. Just made it. Paddled into the wind and tide on the way out but made it back double time. See you Wednesday.

Good work mate!!! you watch on race day you will smash that time!!!!!

If i get enough intrest we can put a unlimited class in there as well so if you have a 14.1ft board and above and want to do it please let me know..

Because this is mostly about fun if any one wants to do it on a oc1,prone racing board or any thing like that then they are more than welcome to join it and with the rain that is froecast for the next to days it could be a paddle with a lot of water flowing!!!

I've got a new Ultra Short Course Race Format for you to try. It's called "SUP Derby". (Inspired by ScubaSim!).

Two "Cans", about 50m apart. 10 paddlers. 10 Lap Race, so about 1,000m in total. You can go around the cans either clockwise or counter clockwise.

Get the Video Camera's out, and Board Mounted GoPro's !! Oh, and some Rail Bumper Tape could come in handy.

Edit; Actually, get 10 of those Soft G-Board.... Game On !! It would be an absolute P!SSER !! You could run it close to the shore, and have 1 or 2 judges. You would need some basic rules, maybe;
1) If your board mounts another board, disqualified.
2) If your paddle or board hits another paddler, disqualified (unless it is soft accidental contact of a paddler who has fallen off).
That's probably enough rules....

Not bad but add a foam fist to the end of the paddle make it gladiator rules and the last man or women standing wins.bring on the biff great spectator sport sufers and bogans alike would love it.

Just got to be careful of logs! There has been a few washed out of both tally and currumbin.

No liking the sound of a new low off Fiji...

There should be no issue with logs and stuff in the creek unless we get a major flood down this way!! as Angie said we paddled it this morning and it was really clean.

We will also have Jamie Mitchell there who will be paddling and help people with some tequine stuff as they paddle, so a great chance to learn some new stuff as well as race!!

It's unlikely we will make it now

We are already partly land locked in Bris with predictions for it to get worse tomorrow.

Other are much worse than us.

Might spend the next couple of days helping to clean up.

Good call, suits us better. I'm on the coast all next week. Eliza was asking if you do a "ladies paddle" class thru the week?

Cheers
