Hey do you have any GPS apps yet Belly? There are some good free ones. Try motionx. Its top speed is 26 knots which is ok for downwinders but on the pole gear its not enough
I have a water proof case for the iPhone if you wanna borrow it? Its the AquaPac.

Would like to be there but got to get things ready for the trip up north.
Could someone get some footage of getting in at Floreat in the 3.2m swell, should be worth seeing.

The pole dancing at Duchies looked really gay

Highlight of the day was watching Cam and Jeremy come in through the surfers at Cott and then into the shorebreak very stylish

My first downwinder....great fun ....It was not an attempt to break the McGuiness book of records for falling off a SUP although it may have appeared so. I felt a little stuffed after one run but you guys did two runs. Well i guess falling off and getting back up that many times was like 200 push ups extra . SUP is such good excercise.

Sorry guys was flat out all arvo and night yesterday.. Haha like greeny said Rez didnt come so I was fine Although I did get smached by a few clean up sets comeing into Cott on the first run .......but adds to the fun of it i spose... And it gave the shortboarders a laugh

Like Hilly said we shortened the run and did it twice.. Port to Cott and the Port to Duchies.. The second run was definately the better run of the 2.. It was a little bit more direct considering it the wind had quite alot of west in it and we did it at nearly full pace.. Heaps of runners the water was a bit messy but i think it was about as good as we are gonna get comeing into winter

It was most enjoyable cant wait till next time hopefully its surfing in 2.5plus clean conditions.......YEOW

Belly

Ps.. We didnt take many photos but ill post a couple for those who care ...

Just a noob at this game but it was bizarre at the difference in performance from day to day.

The 14 was much happier in the river on sat with stuff all wind it just charged along. On Sunday the cross chop and swell upset its ability(or mine more likely) to catch the runners. The DC 16 looked really good on Sunday with Belly linking up runners as in the photos.

Great fun and good to be learning new skills and an excellent work out.

See you all next weekend by the looks

Great shots Belly
