They are basically saying that Greenroom's lovely new board doesn't actually need a deckgrip as the finish they put over the timber, called Startouch, is actually grippy (without being abrasive)?
Yeah thats right JB Mel, no deck grip needed. Ive surfed it twice in small waves already and had no dramas with slipping or even it being rough. Its not a sugar coat like on windsurf boards or not even like fine grit sand paper. It feels like a fabric.
To me if I put some deck grip on it I might be able to relax a bit more when using it in bigger surf
