PSH 8'9" Hull Ripper first impressions for 75 kg advanced SUP'r:
Finned it up with the PSH Future Quad set and went for a flat water/no wind paddle. Very stable and glides well considering its size while at the same time very turn.
Next day we had a decent 3' ground swell with little wind. Very forgiving for someone my size. Pops over white water well.
I've ridden a hand glassed custom 9'5" PSH Hull Ripper @ 28 7/8" x 4 1/8" before and the glide was almost as good on the 8'9". With the added width of the 8'9" I found it was just as stable.
On the wave this thing will turn as hard you want to push it. As others have said, you want to ride it from the tail. Super fast down the line as well.
Very happy with the new ride. More info when the swell returns.
Fits well in the wagon too...
