Nope not a nasty troll mate just interested in other peoples opinion.
I heard a bit of talk about the JL Quad of mates and a few other people talk to a seller he was hyping it up. I took it for a demo thought it was abit overrated by the people. Might just not be for me i just didnt like it.

if i was to say one board i would say the hull rippers, heard so much about them for so long before they came out, and then it sorta went quite, there where a few reviews and videos. only ever seen one guy riding one he wasn't quite doing the board justice, just my thoughts

Would go so far as to say "every psh" actually.

I can safely say that board I recently sold was over-rated.

Which board?

An all around 10'something board that was rated for surfing back in those early 2008/09 days. Trouble was, it had very little rocker through the mid section (so had a lot of 'drive'). Anything more than about head high, and you'd be screaming down the face after the drop, that big round nose would dig you straight, so you'd jump up the back for the first bottom turn and wham, zero to 90 degrees in one vicious bite. Got bucked off so many times.

However, its still rates as a yoga board for a 70 kg girl. Aside from that, it was a (relative) bargain at $650 for the family who bought it.

Since when did the original post say "what is the most over-rated board performance wise across all conditions" ?? I took the question as being an overall personal opinion of a particular board, based on performance/construction/shape/look/value etc ! AND I based MY opinion on that criteria - and stand by it.

performance of a board is a big part of having and opinion, and the way people treat there gear is also gauge on how boards stands up and how well there are made, the psh i had is still going around and in great condition so once again how do you have an opinion if you haven't owned or surfed a board??

i have been told that a lot of well known sups are all made in the same factories.it would be interesting to find out by someone in the know if this is indeed true.if so ,are there different quality levels that brands can buy into, which could effect price and quality?

Is this really a thread that needs to live on??? Surely what ever gets you in the water is ok as far as I can see. I ride Starboard, simply cause they cater for Fat Old Bastards and give me the feeling of being young again, but I love my Fanatic race board, and my old Naish Mana was an awesome board to learn on.

The latest NSP boards seem to be pretty good, the really cheap boards that you can buy around the place are ok to learn on, surely we are past this whose board is hottest crap?

Ive had my sunday night rant lets move on
