waiting for my 12'6" - MArch 17 .... Hopefully the Christchurch waterways will be all right to use by them, but I doubt it . Kinda jealous of you guys , surf is up & can't go near any water probably for months !

Did wonder about the surf situation (am sure if I was there I'd have lots of more important things to worry about mind you).....and now with a strong wind blowing they recommend wearing masks to avoid breathing in contaminated dust
No wonder lots of people are moving out.

Beautiful looking boards!!

Any chance of one of you lucky people measuring and comparing flat water speed of the 3 boards (old 12-6, new 12-6 and 14)?

I was half expecting the new 14 to come with an optional steering rudder, which I think could be useful around Sydney when most of our downwinders come with a big easterly component and I find myself paddling almost exclusively on the leeward side. Do I need a rudder, or do I need to simply get better at downwind surfing so I catch heaps of waves and surf them all eastwards?

I'd also be interested to hear how the new 14 compares to the Coreban 14 which looks kind of similar rocker and bow.

Cheers

You really don't need a rudder... IMO.

Based on your experiences in Sydney?

Why.. Is the wind, water and waves different in Sydney?..

Just wondering WSnS.. Do you think a rudder is necessary on a 14' board?.. or just asking why I have an opinion on this?

btw.. The new Fanatic 14 is very.. VERY.. different board to the Coreban 14.
