Beautiful, I thought the litres was rather low being 95kg i would of thought its a big ask

BP, 8'2" x 28 3/4" works for me at 92kg so sure it would be fine. Nice looking board.

BP the 9-0 McTvaish is a great board just do the hard yards on it and stick with it , Jackosn Close rides this board and just rips it up and has the trophies to prove it.

No need for a wet suit here. Maybe a 1mm top for a month or so!

I like the 2+1 for beach breaks but will photo the quad setup for you after a surf.

There is plenty of rocker but I think the first shots of mine are overly deceptive. The photo with the TV in the background is a more real perspective.

Thanks DJ for the photos. Saves me changing the fin set up.

The verdict

I am 6' and 95kg

Surfed it this morning in fairly clean waist high surf. Slight northerly wind.

LOVED IT!!!

Don't let anyone say it won't float you. It floated me fine and paddled well. In the first 15 minutes there were a few mermaids trying to ravage me but after finding the sweet spot on the board any wobbles were gone and it was great.

It is fast! It made sections easily. Basically for a guy my size this is a 6' blown out short board. It turns on a dime. Makes late take offs with ease.

Totally suggest you demo this if you are considering steping down from a larger board or if you are after a more performance type board. The concave deck seems to help with stablity.

To top the morning off my 7 year old daughter on her surf board caught her first green wall wave from out the back and surfed along the wave. Made some good little turns and beached it. Proud Dad!

I'm still somewhat scratching my head over the small board with litres that would suit the smaller person, This is what i take from the specs.

But you seem to love it, Awesome its a great looking board and well built
I do however think you need to be very experienced and a dam good paddler to stay upright on this board.

Sure a heavy guy can use it but at 90+ kg i would of thought your on the paddle 100 percent just to keep balanced

Interesting to see how boards are now changing, And rider views on what is right acceptable for a given person weight ability.

I would be interested to hear DJ's review, As a surfer of more the adverage skill but at the high end of the weight scale

Yep, i've got my eyes on either the 8'5 or 7'3. Can't wait to try them out, jacko keeps hogging them LOL.

Second Day on it and loving it more. Ultra clean day with small surf. I thought this board may not go as well in smaller surf especially at 95kg. I was wrong. It went great. Super easy to paddle onto the wave. You can throw this thing around. It is an incredibly reactive board.

BP, you don't need to stay on the paddle. It is fairly stable for its' size and mine. I think the concave deck plays a part here which is a great design idea.

Sounds like a nice board, I think i will stick to the boards with the width near 29.5 to 30 for now and 136 + litres, Latter in the year i might look into the naish Very expensive here at the moment.
