What made you get the 27.5" rather than the 30" ?
what is your approx weight ? and what conditions do you use your HRS in ?
what years model is your 14'x27.5" ?
I went the 30 after riding the 27.5.
I'm 6ft and 94kg (was 104 last year) and the board is for ocean, runners and tiny bay waves.....bouncy, windy and not ideal conditions.
I have a SIC 14' x 27 for flatwater / glass conditions so I felt the stability of 30 wide and extra weight in the Falcon HRS ideal for the conditions I will use it in.
(Like driving a Fairlane on the freeway rather than being thrown around in a Mini).
The 27.5 felt great too; faster but its not all about speed, more about stability and control.
