Hi all, I had a go on a 9' x 28" mano down at gearys a few weeks ago. At 84 kgs and not been on many narrow boards found it challenging staying on the board out back (pretty calm off shore wind). After spending plenty of time in the water slowly gaining some stability I persisted tenaciuosly for a while but eventually handed the board back to the 74 kg owner whom the board suited them both just not me not yet. From the thread I think the 9'9" could be more suited what the opinion? I tried the 9'Coreban Fusion easyer to ride and the 9'6" Coreban which was very easy to catch a wave and ride. Haven't bought any of these still thinking! Whats that burning smell!!

I rode the 9 footer at 105kg it was a submarine

Try the 9 4 really nice board still tippy at 28 and a bit. The 9 9 gives stability and rippability if that is a word

Hilly, I hope you are going to post up a trip report and more photos, I always look fwd to reading about your escapes north and south from the city...

Did you cop some of the 6m swell we had down here last weekend? or was it blown out?

Got the swell but exmouth really kills swell gnaraloo would have been awesome
Most of my paddles were offshore the photos came from a 45min photo session. In 2 weeks it was a bit ordinary only taking a few photos but the surf was too good :-)

fair enough, taking photos would be pretty low on my prioity as well if was up there.

Had a go of the 9'9" on the weekend in some very nice up to head high waves. I was surprised how much looser it is than my Naish 9'6". I flipped myself off the first couple of bakchand cutbacks as it came around so much quicker. The extra rocker and surf style nose are definately noticable on steep take offs

Hello guys,
I now paddle all the Sizes of the Mano..
These are really underrated boards! Any one who try them just fell in love, doesn't matter what they ride at home...
You really need to check them out!
They goes really well in each size. Here is my recommendation for size weight..

Very good rider that doesn't care to loose on stability for performance:
Less then75 kilos = 9'0
75 to 85 = 9'4
85 to 100 = 9'9
100 and more = 10'2

If you are intermediate and want to be more relax just move up one size for your weight
