I need to recover all the foam cushions in my 26ft er , there are 8 different sized pieces throughout in all different shapes. the ones there presently are velcro ended so I can take the covers off, bit they are torn and stained..

I just finished mine a couple of months ago. I used the soft vinyl sold by Clark's rubber, the expensive UV resistant stuff, about $25 a metre. I have an industrial sewing machine but a domestic machine should handle it. I used a lot of material. I brought one cushion home at a time and made them like that. The almost double width quarter berth cushion was the hardest to do, to make and get on and off the boat.
Its a lot of work and I can see how come they are so expensive to have done professionally.

Get a price from a motor trimmer you may be happy with that.

Just paid an upholsterer $4,500 to redo ours.

Front double berth with infill.

Saloon, two bases and four back cushions.

Aft Cabin bed.

What an absolute disaster.

Out of all the cushions, only THREE fitted correctly. Have had to fight tooth and nail for them to come and have a look at their work.

Finally, coming tomorrow, after four months to have a look.

Credit were it's due, the manager, has always said that he will fix any problems. But he has never seen the problems and I don't think he realises what it will cost him.

My wife, rejunivated the upholstery three years ago and I though as a present for her I would get it done professionly.

She said the other day while onboard, "I wish we had struck with the original upholstery, it fitted better than this."

The gloves are off tomorrow.

My advice:- Do your own.
