Sorry just having a few issues charging my laptop. I will put the video up as soon as I get the charger sorted. I did a blog before I left but didn't really do much once I was sailing.

Concur. My Fleming handled everything thrown at it on multiple Lord Howe trips. We had 50+ kts a few times and 30+ pretty often and even dead downwind it was great.
Morning Bird is approaching Wilsons Prom with her new owner. I felt really down that she has actually gone but the new owner is an excellent new custodian.

Time to pick up one of the fantastic bargains out there, particularly in the 24 to 26ft range.

Thanks Andy , Sorry i don't intend to derail the post but interesting to see some other things around the boat as well . For instance the rubber seals around the companionway and the location of the big raft low, but handy to deploy .
what head sail set up did you have?

Hey Sand S Yeah I copped a few waves into the cockpit and some water came in but the rubber seals worked pretty well. The raft location was OK for one person but would have been a pain with a crew.
I hardly used the number 1 heady, I just had the number 3 and the storm jib on furlers. In lighter breezes I'd run them both as the wind increased I'd furl the storm jib next I'd put a reef in the main then furl a bit of the number 3 then another reef in the main then furl the no3 and unfurl the storm jib then go to 3rd reef in the main then if going upwind half furl the storm jib if down wind furl it completely.
having said that sometimes down wind I'd just run with a triple reefed main in anything over 30 knots as the extra sail didn't really equal much more speed.

Andy did you have three furlers with the #1 on a bow sprit and the storm sail on an inner furler ?

I had a code zero on an endless furler on a sprit and 2 furlex furlers set up for one on the bow and on set up on the first bulkhead as a cutter sail. I didn't use the code zero much because it's pretty easy to get to 6knots but we start digging a big hole in the ocean to go much faster
