At this stage, it looks like Altex Elite 321 brusing polyurethane might be the go.
Cheaper than some of the International equivalent, and seems to have reasonable results possible.

Paintjob will need to be done outside, and I'm not a fan of spraying 2 pack, so it's roller and tip.




Boat is 30ft cat.

I used the Altex no. 5 antifoul and am please with the results so far.
Was planning to go back to gel coat next time and use International Interprotect so I am interested to hear about the Altex equivalent.

My 18' space sailer needs an exterior coat of paint. A surplus place near me sells cans of mistinted paint. I saw some Dulux Professional semi gloss which is recommeded for wet bathroom and pool areas. It is a thick water base acrylic paint. Painted black below the water line over sanded old paint and gelcoat. The exposed gel coat was primed with spray plastic primer used for painting car bumpers and plastic parts. Used liter and a half which cost me $5.60. The upper deck is cream white and requires about another $5.60 of paint. All together painting the boat exterior is less than $15. The paint job below the water line is holding well.

Nice job Rattlehead, it helps being able to paint undercover.
Norglass was another option.
It seems easier to find Norglass around, I'm still trying waiting for pricing from the Victorian Altex distributor.
From their website, it looks like lots of dealer up north but not much happening down this way in terms of distributors.
