Great information

Plenty of water in the Crookhaven, we have yachts here with a draft of over 2 metres. Moorings are safer than JB. Some of the yachts have moorings in JB and the Crookhaven and bring their yachts up here when they have impending bad weather or will be way overseas etc.
JB is a national park and you are required to carry one of their charts at all times.

That is an awesome travel plan, what a fantastic and clean presentation of info.

North Durras is a nice spot in a NE breeze, and I think the bush may have survived the fires.

Broulee is great in W through S to the E, and surprisingly good in a NE. It's a bit shallow in the corner. In a big NE - and the south coast does get big sea breezes - you can move to the lee off Barlings Beach formed by the long headland to the north, although even in a NE that can be gusty.

Moruya is a bit limited but pleasant. The depth on the bar is good but the bar is narrow. You can go all the way up to the town but the channel gets constricted about 2ks upstream and so we never went further with 6'6" draft.

In light to moderate with E in it, or light winds from other directions, the Tollgate Islands can be a lovely spot to anchor. Go between the islands on the W side and look through the clear water to spot the area free of seagrass, drop a pick there, and put a stern anchor out if need be. Take the dinghy through the sea arch on the southern side of the island, or go to the NE side and find the shark gutter for good snorkelling. There's more good snorkelling especially on the NW end of the north island.

The bays on the northern side of BB can offer good anchoring and are lovely in NE through to NW and W. The SE ground swell will normally get in, so use a stern anchor to hold your boat stern-on to prevent rolling. The Bay is a bit limited in a big southerly; if you're in the 28 you may be able to creep over the sand flats just off Corrigan's Beach for protection and to dinghy ashore for supplies. Otherwise if there was going to be a big southerly you may want to go under the bridge and up the river, although obviously it won't be lovely bush like it used to be.

Some of the "ocean beaches" between BB and Durras (and some further south) offer reasonable anchoring in the right conditions, and you can dinghy ashore in moderate swells with care and a good dinghy. I think that the bushland between Durras and BB survived the fires.

There is a courtesy mooring just off Shaws Creek in Greenwell Point. It's a 24-hour mooring and is often vacant. Anchoring is easy if you have a high holding anchor, don't bother trying a CQR!
